With every wet shave, the fine edge of a blade bends until it tears.  Then you are plucked and probably even cut yourself. A magnetic field, however, makes the blade last longer. The planer should be placed on the resharpener before the first shave by placing the razor head on the BLADE MASTER for a few seconds. You will notice that the blade is in the area of a magnetic field when you have to apply force to remove the blade from the BLADE MASTER. Shave as usual. Then rinse the blade and place it back on the BLADE MASTER.
