The OTTER pocket knife as a beekeeper's knife with a stainless steel blade.
A classic with special features. Plates, bolsters, rivets and a honeycomb inlay with the image of a bee made of brass. A tribute to the industrious honey makers. Only local woods were chosen for the handles, namely plum, pear and sea buckthorn. Plum, for example, is hard, dense, knotty and resistant to contact with water. The wood of the pear is slightly grained but very soft to the touch. Sea buckthorn, on the other hand, originally comes from Nepal. It is rich in vitamin C and is also known as the "lemon of the north". Its wood is easy to polish.
Bees have four wings, a wasp waist and a weir stinger. However, only the females do. The bees' hair, especially on their legs or the underside of their abdomen, is used to transport pollen. The pollen simply sticks to it when touched. The pollen provides the hymenoptera with protein. According to Greenpeace, the annual value of pollination services worldwide is around 265 billion dollars. We should remind ourselves of this more often. Not just on May 20, World Bee Day.
3 of every knife sold will be donated to the Bee Education Center in Witten Hohenstein, Ruhr area.
