Dressing stone for flattening/dressing whetstones with transverse grooves to absorb abrasion. Both natural and synthetic whetstones become hollow on the working surface over time, creating an inward curvature. The dressing stone is used to produce or maintain a flat/straight surface. As a second product application, the dressing stone can also be used to rub grinding sludge from an existing grinding stone. When grinding with grinding sludge, grinding is done with so-called “rolling grain”. With grinding sludge, the sharpness can be produced faster and finer with the same grit than with the bare grinding stone surface. Which whetstones is the product suitable for? Not suitable for Arkansas stones, artificial ceramic stones and diamond grinding plates. Soak the whetstone and dressing stone with sufficient water. Rub the whetstone and dressing stone against each other in a circular motion until the desired result is achieved. Keep both stones wet during the entire process.
