Since the 14th century, the so-called Kotten have characterised the history of the blade town of Solingen. The massive whetstones were driven by pure water power and the world-famous blades were sharpened by hand. The Boker Cottage-Craft chef's knife series impressively continues the legacy of this traditional craftsmanship and impresses with a carefully chosen selection of classic materials. The local oak used for the handle scales is hard, dense and fine-pored, with a uniform structure and a striking colour spectrum. Following the centuries-old tradition of Solingen knife making, the handle scales are mounted on the continuous tang of the blade with solid brass rivets.
The chef's knife is one of the most important knives in the kitchen and is part of the basic equipment. It has a slightly wider and longer blade than the utility knife. The slim tip is ideal for cutting onions or small vegetables. Thanks to its length, it can also be used as a carving knife. It can also be used to cut large vegetables with ease.
